BC Rivers Day with Kamloops Naturalist Club

  • Tranquille Wildlife Management Area (part of Lac du Bois Grassland Protected Area) (map)

Come join the Kamloops Naturalist Club for the annual fall clean up of Tranquille Road within the Tranquille Wildlife Management Area (which is part of Lac du Bois Grassland Protected area). In addition, we will do some restoration of the pond are. We have been running an experiment in the WMA for 2 years, covering an area of invasive reed canary grass with a opaque barrier. It is time to remove the barrier from a portion of the experimental area and plant native species.

Meet at the Tranquille Pond parking lot at 9:30 am; bring work gloves and trowels if you have them. We have garbage bags, pickers and some gloves.
