We have created a directory of some of the fundraising sources that can help your organization access funding for upcoming outdoor recreation initiatives, accessibility programs, trail maintenance, supply purchases, or professional development of your volunteer crew.

Current and upcoming grant opportunities

Devinci’s Community Grant Program supports cycling clubs, trail associations, and other types of cycling organizations with financial assistance to fund development projects within their communities. Examples are developing new trails, attracting new cyclists to the community, introducing the sport to new enthusiasts, contributing to the purchase of new equipment, creating new facilities, and any other type of local cycling-related project. Deadline to apply is April 28, 2026.

The BC Equestrian Trail Fund provides seed funding to members and affiliates of the Horse Council of BC for projects related to the construction and/or maintenance of an equestrian trail, trailhead, or horse camping site in British Columbia for public use. Deadline to apply: April 30, 2026.

BC Hydro provides $5,000 grants to community groups for sustainability and environmental initiatives, and $2,500 grants for safety education workshops and training. Eligible projects may include land and water stewardship initiatives, emergency response and preparedness workshops, and others. Apply by May 31, 2026.

The Drax Community Fund supports grassroots organizations and community-led initiatives in areas where they operate with donations of up to $10,000 in several areas, including nature projects and green spaces. In BC, eligible organizations with projects in Armstrong, Burns Lake, Houston, Lavington, Meadowbank, Princeton, Smithers, Prince Rupert, Prince George can apply. Next deadline is May 31, 2026.
